Prints That Survive the Client Meeting
"Curated" is another word decor has worn out. Here's what it means in practice at Leisure Piece: a person chose every image in the catalog from archives we work with directly, and said no to thousands more. When you're filling a project with art, that selection work is what you're actually buying, before any frame gets built.
Curation means the archives, not stock sites
Our catalog is drawn from the owners of the image archives themselves: the Slim Aarons estate's leisure world, the Bettmann Archive's historical negatives, and contemporary photographers like Corey Wilson whose work we print from the original files. That's the line between a curated print and a stock image with a frame around it, and it's why every piece ships with a certificate of authenticity.
The collections are organized by mood, use them that way
Each collection is effectively a shortcut for a brief. Coastal for rooms that need calm. Vintage and Icons for rooms that need a story. Black and White for schemes that need discipline. A build you can spec once and repeat
Every piece is made the same way: image edge to edge on the floating pedestal mount (the white margin in product photos is the mount, not a border), archival matte paper and pigment inks, 99.9% UV-blocking acrylic, and solid wood frames in four finishes at a consistent 1 1/8 inch profile. Seven framed formats run Small through Masterpiece, with Centerpiece (56.5" x 39.5") the usual anchor for multi-piece walls, and Print Only available throughout. Consistency is what lets a designer spec eight pieces across three rooms and have them arrive as one system.
