The photographer matters more than the wave
Corey Wilson grew up shooting in Santa Cruz, trained at Brooks Photography Institute, and spent years as a staff photographer at SURFING magazine, traveling with the sport's elite before brands like Aston Martin and Ralph Lauren came calling. Energy or calm: decide before you browse
Surf photography splits into two moods, and rooms want one or the other. The kinetic shots, barrels, spray, a surfer mid-line, belong where the day starts: entryways, offices, a home gym, above a bar cart. The black and white route
Monochrome surf photography is the crossover move: all the motion, none of the beach-house cliche, at home in a city apartment.
