About the Artist

Tom Kelley Sr. gained renown as an American photographer celebrated for capturing Hollywood luminaries during the 1940s and 1950s. His most famous works include the iconic 1949 nude portraits of Marilyn Monroe, which achieved widespread circulation as calendar artwork. One of these photographs was prominently featured in the inaugural edition of Playboy magazine in 1953.

This photograph was captured on a historic 35MM film camera, which is part of it's beauty- so the archival look is presented well when printed, instead of ultra high-definition camera prints.
