Bjorn Kumpers, born in 96’, resides in Cape Town, South Africa. The beauty of his hometown, coupled with his passion for photography, has inspired him to create a unique style of work. His artwork focuses on his love for the ocean and coastal activities, capturing distinctive landscapes and the people drawn to them.
Bjorn’s desire to create and share his photographs with the world, as well as to incorporate them into living spaces, led to the establishment of his brand, AVIO Images. Here, his artwork and apparel demonstrate how his camera is a constant companion on his travels.
Estuary (1 of 5) – Limited Edition Aerial Photography Print, Churchhaven. Edition of 5. (Meaning ONLY five of these prints will ever be made) A photograph taken while hanging from the open door of a helicopter overlooking the lively marshland on our West Coast of South Africa. After seeing the shapes and textures of Churchhaven’s estuary on Google Maps, a friend and I set out to capture it from an aerial point. Taken on a telephoto lens, it was possible to condense these mesmerizing visuals into an image like this. 5% of proceeds will be donated to Protect The West Coast, an organization working to safeguard South Africa’s coastline from illegal and destructive mining activity. Ideal for abstract nature lovers, collectors of limited edition aerial art, or those supporting landscape photography with a cause.
